I Heart Elise

Ben and Elise have been spending quite a bit of time together lately. Can you blame Ben? Look at this bathing beauty:

This was a difficult photo shoot. Once Elise prepared herself for the session, Ben got fussy. Then both sets of parents ran out of battery power in their cameras. Luckily we were able to get a few shots of them in their cute outfits.

Sometimes he likes to torment Elise...like by stealing her pacifier. It makes her quite angry.

Take Your Baby to Work Day

I got all dressed up and asked Dad if he'd take me to work with him. I am wearing my best suit and have been practicing learning how to use his Blackberry. The only problem is that I don't think they allow naptime at Bank of America!

More Pool Time

It's been so hot here that Ben enjoys getting in the pool whenever he can. This weekend his Grandmother Babbie and Aunt Anne came for a visit. Our friends Jae & Karman invited us to their pool, which was a great way to spend a hot Saturday afternoon!

Tuckered out

We went out to dinner last night and Ben fell asleep on the way home. He was exhausted from playing with everything on the table and throwing his toys on the floor for Dad to pick up on numerous occasions.

Putting on my PJ's. This is the last time I will wear these footed pajamas because they are too short. Mom says I'm like veal when I wear them because I don't have any room to grow!

8.20.06

Here are some pictures from this past weekend. Jeff and I went to Charlottesville, VA for a wedding on Saturday and Ben's grandparents Babbie & Randy were nice enough to watch him. We had a great time, although we did miss Mr. Ben. It was our first night away from him.

Over the past few days Ben has started babbling. It's quite cute to listen to him try to talk. He gets so excited about making new sounds.

This weekend his aunt Anne is coming from Chicago to visit and then we're headed to Murray for Labor Day weekend, so we have lots of fun things happening.

Story time (although someone appears more interested in the pre-season football game on the t.v.)

Mountain Trip

Ben visited the mountains of NC for the first time this past weekend with his grandpa Steve and Brenda. Here are a few pics from our trip.

Ben & Elise Mae spending some quality time together.

Ben has figured out how to pull himself up to a sitting position in his crib. This is how I found him the other day....time to move the crib mattress down a notch!

Ready for Football Season!

Ben is all set for football season. He tried on his Bengals outfit today and it fits perfectly. Too bad he'll probably miss most of the first game since it's a Monday night game which coincides with his bed time.

First Swimming Lesson

Our friends Joe and Lisa were nice enough to invite us to take a dip in their pool on a very hot August day. Ben loved his first time in a swimming pool. Jeff taught him how to kick his legs and Aunt Nini put him under the water for the first time (he wasn't sure what to think about that!). Elise Mae didn't get in the pool and slept through all of the excitement.

Getting bigger

Ben went to the doctor on 8.2 for his 6 month appointment. He weighed in at 18 pounds and is 28 inches long. Still long and lean...55th percentile for weight and 95th for length!

6 Months!

Ben turns 6 months today (August 1)! His Aunt Anne's birthday is also today. He's hoping to get to Chicago soon to visit her.

He heads to the doctor tomorrow for his check up. We'll see how much he's grown. He's getting quite good at sitting up and is enjoying eating fruits & veggies. So far he likes sweet potatoes, apples and squash. He is not a fan of bananas. Mom and Grammy made him lots of baby food yesterday, so hopefully he'll enjoy eating it since we have a freezer full!

Nice & clean!
