Santa Claus

On Saturday, December 15th, Benjamin met Santa for the first time. He was very interested in him and it was hard for us to get him to stop looking at Santa long enough to look at the camera. While he didn't cry, he also didn't seem overly excited about the whole affair.

10 Months

December has been a fun month so far. My Grammy came to visit for a whole week and while she was here we had awesome weather (75 degrees!). So, we did lots of outdoor activities like swinging, sliding and riding in my new wagon.

I got a new wagon for Christmas from my Uncle Frankie and Aunt Debbie and my cousins Denham & Cohen. It was fun watching mommy put it together and even more fun to ride in it! I can't wait to take Elise Mae for a spin in it (it has two seatbelts!).

At the end of a long day of playing, I sure do enjoy bathtime.

Getting Ready for Christmas

Last weekend we picked out Ben's first Christmas tree. It doesn't feel very Christmas-y here, but maybe we'll get a little cold weather soon (but not too much!).

My First Thanksgiving

Sitting in mom's old high chair. It's much more fun than the high chair I have at home because I like to stand up in it and face backwards when I eat.

One of my favorite parts of the trip was meeting my grammy's new puppy. We had a lot of fun together. He's much more fun (and much nicer) than my cat, b.b. He doesn't hiss or swat at me when I try to play with him.

I love this new activity toy from my grandpa Steve and Brenda. It makes all sorts of fun sounds.


Brenda spilled the beans to my mom that I can hold my own bottle. Now I'll probably have to start doing it more often. I quite enjoyed having someone hold it for me.

My Ninth Month

Chicago Trip

I visited my Aunt Anne in Chicago last weekend and had a great time. I enjoyed the big city, although it was cold up there. I'm happy to be back in the mild Charlotte weather. Highlights of the trip include going to the aquarium, taking lots of walks, stopping in a pet store to look at some puppies and being able to see my second cousins Griffin and Gretchen.

My First Halloween

Ben enjoyed his first Halloween, even though he wasn't feeling 100%. He collected his first piece of candy, which was a "sugar daddy" (I think that's what those are called). He didn't eat it, but the fact that it was on a stick and wrapped made it very entertaining. He did some trick-or-treating with his buddy Griffin Barlow, who dressed as a monkey.

Halloween Preview

We had a few people over this weekend to celebrate halloween and Ben and Elise wore their costumes. They make really cute chickens and peapods, don't you think?



I sure do love halloween and dressing up!

It's hard work being a chicken. I needed to rest a little bit during the party.

Sometimes I need lots of items to help me fall asleep for naps. On this particular day it required two blankets, a taggie blanket and Zippy the zebra. Finally I was comfortable enough to go to sleep!

I'm so happy my giraffe, Sophie, has returned. We left her at a restaurant in Florida and they were nice enough to mail her back to me. Not a moment too soon since I am teething and she's the perfect teething toy!

I'm finally big enough to enjoy my chair. Mom moved it to the living room so I have some place to sit.

This sure is comfortable.
